This was probably the worst Sofitel hotel that I have ever stayed in. First, Jinan Sofitel must be using some strange detergent on cleaning. When I walked into the hotel, it definitely not a pleasant smell. I was there on 4/18 and 4/19, stay at the 11th floor, which suppose to be nonsmoke floor, however, i could smell the smoke the whole night. Room hardware was ok. However, the bedding were old, the pillows were old, comparable 3 star hotel beddings. The worst thing was, there was no hot water in the morning. The front desk told me that government accidently killed the hot water line. This totally BS, how could a five star hotel does not have its own boiler? The only meets the normal Sofitel standard was the coffee shop downstairs.
