The CITS Hotel, Guangdong (Tourist Hotel) is located at the eastern square of the train station. It is a 3-star hotel newly opened in 1999. Around it there are big commodity markets, Chinese export product fair, airport ticket selling, Guangdong tourism bureau holiday, Caonuan park.
The hotel is a big asset to the Guangdong Tourism Bureau. It runs the Guangzhou City Youth Hotel, which is a chain hotel under Hostelling International.
