Good World Hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of Zhaoqing city''s commercial centre. There is one shopping mall at the podium and another mall just across the road. There are also many shops within walking distance selling Zhaoqing''s famous ink stone and cantonese dumpling. A 10min stroll up north along the wide pedestrian walkway will bring you to the other shopping hot spot near the gateway to the People''s Park and Seven Star Crag. The same 10 min stroll southward will lead you to the river bank where you can view the cityscape of Gaoyao.What impressed me most was the excellent customer service delivered by the counter staff. They don''t speak English but if you know a bit of Mandarin or Cantonese, they will go the extra mile to help you. I had a problem getting the train ride to Guangzhou before 6pm and was worried that the hotel in Guangzhou would not hold my room reservation when I get there past 8pm. The reception not only called the hotel in Guangzhou for me (as I don''t speak fluent Cantonese) but she also took the initiative to call my hotel booking agent to liaise directly with the hotel in Guangzhou. I practically didn''t have to do anything but the reception got my hotel reservation in Guangzhou extended until 9pm! Great group of staff they have in Good World Hotel!
