I love this hotel! I stayed here once two years ago as a student and was so happy nothing had changed when I returned. The hotel staff are great and the rooms are really comfortable especially for under 30 US$. The location may seem out of the way but it's what I like best about it. You get more of a genuine Hutong experience because it is located in an alley of the Dongcheng district, yet still Western in many ways. From the airport, it's an easy trip: Take the Airport Express Train to Dongzhimen Station, then hop on the number 2 subway line to Yonghegong Lama Temple. After that switch to the number 5 line going south and get off at Dongsi Station. After that it's a 5 block walk north to Dongsiwutiao and you're there! :) I had a roller bag, duffel, and backpack and it wasn't too much to handle. Located near several sites accessable by subway like Tian'anmen Square/Forbidden City, ZGC Plaza, and Sanlitun Bar district.
