Good value, clean hotel Good value hotel. The room was clean and bathroom modern. Staff were friendly (spoke manageable English) and the location was quiet. Not much to see in Tangkou (fairly basic rural town) and this hotel was in a relatively quiet street on other side of river to the rest of the hotels and most of the restaurants. There are some ok restaurants within a 10 minute or so walk - nothing fancy but simple hearty dishes. We paid extra for the breakfast - was basic (congee, boiled egg, some chinese buns and glutinous rice) but worth doing so can eat and head off to mountain early in the morning. We had to take taxi (30RMB) to bus station to grab bus to cable car stations to get up Huangshan Mountain but generally the location is quite convenient. Would recommend the hotel to other travellers.
