Good deal on a big suite
I''ve stayed her several times now. I really like the size of the suites - it really is like a small, one bedroom apartment with kitchen, living room, and bedroom. I''ve stayed in the suites at various price points - the price does change the aesthetics but the basic utility is the same. The small grocery store in the bottom is convenient and not much more expensive than anywhere else. The Western restaurant is OK, expensive by Chinese standards. The Chinese hot pot is also OK, and again a bit more expensive by Chinese standards but reasonable for a Westerner, and a lot of fun if you haven''t tried it before. I think the room and facilities would be great for a family of 4. I think the English level was OK for checking in my first time here, and was normal speed for it. But if you have some problem it could be wanting. There is another Chinese restaurant near this Hotel, the 2nd building over towards the bridge, that has your typical family style, many dishes approach for reasonable prices - has dumplings too. You can walk to some shopping 2-3 kilometers away, the taxi ride is not expensive to Tian''anmen - maybe 30 RMB or less, but to the airport I think it was about 100 RMB.All and all I think the Ctrip price is just awesome for such a big space in Beijing to call home for a few days.
