Never Again It took about 1 hour to find the location (1 North Gongti Road apparently goes from East 3rd Ring Road to Chunxiu Road and if you know Beijing a little you would understand that inbetween there are about 3 traffic lights ergo 4 blocks). We stopped at another hotel and asked the lady to draw us a map after speaking with someone from Huatongxin Hotel. The instructions given were wrong. Upon arrival at Huatongxin, the receptionist informed us that we would have to pay for the room daily (i.e. chieck-out and check-in everyday) despite the fact that it mentioned on the Ctrip booking that payment should be on the last day when we leave the hotel. The rooms smelled bizarre and there were cigarette burns in the chair and stains on the bed sheets. Because it was 2am, we forced ourselves to sleep there for one night but made reservations at another hotel for the following day. During check-out we had to hand in our room cards as well as the receipt for the deposit of the room card keys. The receptionist yelled at us saying that we did not hand in the receipt and could not give us back the money. After asking her to look harder, she found the receipt that we had given to her and she had placed a pile of papers on top. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. For the price & location you can do so much better and cleaner (such as Home Inn or Starway).
